    A native indigenous vine-like plant in the Pandanas family
    found in wet forests usually with Ohia trees.
    The wicker-like aerial roots of ieie
    were used to make the feather helmets
    and feather idols seen at contact with Capt. Cook, etc..
    Mrs. Francis Sinclair, Jr. was from the Sinclair-Robinson Family
    mostly known as owners of the island of
    Niʻihau for the last 158 years.
    Today, although the state records list them separately,
    if you combined the Robinsons’ holdings of nearly 51,000 acres on Kauai
    and some 46,000 acres on Niʻihau,
    the family would be the sixth largest landowner in the state of Hawaii.
