!     HERE FOR SALE IS A SUPER NICE 18TH CENTURY SMALL SIZE MAPLE WOOD BOX. IT HAS A SLIDING LID WITH A FINGER NOTCH IN ONE END FOR EASE OF USE. IT MEASURES 5 3/4 INCHES BY 3 1/4 INCHES BY 2 1/4 INCHES TALL. IT IS MADE WITH LOTS OF NICE HAND MADE T-HEAD NAILS. IT HAS A NICE ORIGINAL NATURAL MAPLE COLORING AND A SOMEWHAT SMOOTH AND DRY SURFACE. I WOULD THINK, BECAUSE OF THE SIZE OF THE BOX, THAT IT COULD HAVE BEEN USED FOR A TRINKET BOX OR TO STORE VERY SMALL TAPER CANDLES. IT DOES HAVE SOME WOOD LOSS SUCH AS PARTIAL HOLES OR DIVITS THROUGHOUT  ( BOTTOM, TOP OF LID, ETC ) BUT I FEEL THE BOX IS IN GOOD CONDITION AND NOT OVERLY AFFECTED BY THIS. IT IS A SWEET LITTLE PIECE OF EARLY TREEN WARE AND WOULD BE A GREAT ITEM TO ADD TO ANY PRIMITIVE COLLECTION.

Please see photos for more description and condition. All items sold "as is" and as described. These artifacts are old and have been used so expect wear and age defects unless noted otherwise. No returns unless description/photographs totally misrepresent item/s.
