    Description

    This Is A Rare Late 18th Century Lead Inkwell.
    Very Few Of These Have Survived Because Most Lead Items Were Melted To Make Musket Balls For the War Effort.
    Hexagonal Shape That Gradually Widens From Top To Bottom.
    There Is A Central Hole For Ink and A Very Small Angled Corner Opening That Goes Through To the Upper Corner Of the Side Which Serves A Resting Place For the Nub Of A Feather Pen. Dark Gray In Color.
    Measures 2 3/8" Tall. Top is 7/8" Square. Bottom Measures 1 1/8" Square.
