    Description

    This is a beautiful antique piece. A Souvenir from the Teacher with her photograph. Welcome School, School District No. 30. Douglas County, Kansas. 1900 Presented by Emma C. Cothlin, Teacher. The School Board members are named: Frank Pardee - - Treas, Mrs. Morton - - Director and Quincy Stevens - - Clerk. Inside are the names of the 16 Pupils. Their  last names are Brown, Eberhart, Flory, Helm, Pardee, Stevens and Wood. Looks like several groups of siblings. This card has an embossed border on heavy cardstock, gold lettering & decoration, a picture of the lovely young teacher, has two pages that are held together with green cording, measures 3" x 5" and was made by Instructor Co., Dansville, N Y.  A wonderful piece of Kansas history.
