Description:
Two crisp uncirculated modern banknotes from Hong Kong. The two notes are 20 dollars notes one issued The Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation on 1 July, 2003 and the second issued by the Bank of China on 1st January 1999. The first note (HSBC) is blue on multicolored underprint on the front depicting the head of a lion statue to the left with the back also being blue and depicting an aerial view of Hong Kong Harbor. The note has a wide windowed security strip to the right of the back and a solid security thread to the right of the front. It has the serial number AG207539 and one signature. The second note, Bank of China, is blue and green and depicts the Bank of China tower left of center on the front and skyline and harbor on the back. The note has no signatures but has a watermark depicting lion statue. It has the serial number HD344995 and has a security thread right of center. Both notes are crisp uncirculated and would make a great addition to your collection. Please carefully review the scans presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

The note fro m HSBC is dated 1 July 2003 and the one from the Bank of China is dated 1 January 1999.

Bothe notes were printed by Hong Kong Note Printing Limited.
Size:
Both banknotes measure ~5 5/8" by ~2 13/16".
Pick Number:
The HSBC note is listed as Pick 207a and is listed in the banknote book as B686a. The Bank of China note is listed as Pick 329e and is listed in the Banknote Book as B906d.
Condition:
I would grade both notes as crisp uncirculated Both are clean with no graffiti or pinholes. They are fresh with no folds or crease. Both have vivid colors and no tears or splits. Their corners are squared with no observable rounding. The only thing we see is a small bump at the top end of the windowed security strip on the HSBC note, which we believe is an artifact of the printing process when that edge of the sheet was grabbed by the machine after it was printed. It is definitely not due to circulation. Both notes are great looking and worthy of a spot in your collection. Please see the scans for additional condition information.
