See Neumann 105.S-107.S for related examples. 23 1/8” curved double fullered blade with false edge. Ivory grip of spirally fluted tapered form with inset silver tape and twisted wire. Recurved guard with faint initials of the owner one side. “Rainproof” scabbard mount. Animal Head, Gargoyle face pommel cap connected to the guard with double silver chain. Swords of this type were carried by the upper and noble class. Made for a well to do officer.
