This is an awesome awesome piece for someone into costuming, Mardi Gras, reenactment, etc. Antique Civil War Era Victorian Ornate Brass /Gold and Mother of Pearl Carriage Mourning Umbrella Parasol. Has been stored in a dry environment (an attic for the last seventy years). Parasol has original silk fabric, though in deteriorated state. Mechanism works perfectly and metal shows no sign of corrosion. Does not seem to be missing any of its original features, including tassel. Perfect for someone who’s willing to invest a little bit of love into recovering it.
