    Description

BATTLE OF PRINCETON, CAPTURED HESSIAN 3 POUNDER CANNOBALL MOULDER’S BATTERY, JANUARY 3, 1777
This captured Hessian 3 pounder cannonball was found at the site of Captain Joseph Moulder’s Battery at the Battle of Princeton, fought on January 3, 1777.                                                                                                                                                                                         It was found near the sight of the William Clark House on the left wing of the American forces by a local historian many years ago.                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Captain Moulder had a 3 gun battery at Princeton, armed with a pair of 4 pounder American cannons & a captured Hessian 3 pounder that was captured at the Battle of Trenton on December 26, 1776..                                                                                           Moulder’s Battery had 20 boys from Philadelphia as cannon crews.                                                                                                              It is 2 13/16" diameter, is in good condition with light to light/medium pitting & has a dark brown patina.                                             NOTE,
I use a generic picture as I have several & they are all in about the same condition.                                                                      It comes with a certificate of authenticity.
