(?) over Diamond Head Crater and Waikiki Beach Hawaii. It was taken by the military air recon 18th Air group at Wheeler Field, the bombers were most likely based at Hickam Field, near Pearl Harbor. Not much else known about the photo. (Some people suggest that it was produced by the military (not by us) in the darkroom for propaganda publicity purposes by sandwiching two negatives? and it also appeared on an invitation to a Christmas party at the Wheeler Air Base Officers Club? in the late 1930's).

The original was
shot with a professional copy stand and equipment on black and white negative film,
and is a little grainy when enlarged from the 35mm negative but looks very nice
, and is shipped in a tube. Included is a separate caption label with specific information about the photo that can later be displayed separately with the print or affixed to the back. This print, when framed (we recommend 20x30 or larger for suggested presentation) retails for 0-450+ at retail locations. This one is pretty rare and we will probably never print again in this size on double weight fiber based paper.
It would make a great birthday or holiday gift for someone who likes Waikiki Beach, military, or historic aviation images of Hawaii. They are popular reasonably priced decorations for restaurants, offices, homes, or stores where people can see them.
Our hand printed silver halide gelatin original photos are very popular and affordable to local people and tourists visiting Hawaii, as well as people who have never visited Hawaii.
This photo is an 'old style' traditional film based image printed using an enlarger from a negative on real photographic paper and archivally processed by hand, not by a machine. Prices are less than you would pay retail at a gallery or custom photo lab for a hand printed and mounted silver halide black and white print and production costs are lower than most folks so we want to offer affordable quality art for people who might not otherwise be able to afford it.
