    Description

    C1720-60 Germanic Infantry hangar hilt. Includes pommel, wire-wrapped grip, and crossguard, with the guard having been broken off long ago. Very similar to a sword pictured on page 253, figure 10 of Neumann/Kravic's "Collector's Encyclopedia of the American Revolution". About 5-1/2" tall. Light patina throughout.
