This is a fair quality giclee print on Epson pro photo paper with archival inks,
cropped to fit on an 8x10 inch single backing mat and includes backing board as you can see here,
from an original black & white photograph from the 1900's? that was hand colored by artist

. The the print is shrink wrapped (you may be able to see it in the photo) with caption, Waikiki history, and photography credits and information on the back of Diamond Head with two ladies (mom and daughter?) at Waikiki Beach, the  photo original was dated 1905?  We only printed 3 of these with this mat color.
**Please note that the white margin, black line, and backing board is part of the photo and not a mat board cutout.
It is also grainy
as it was from an original black and white copy, hand colored, then shot on Velvia transparency film, and then digitally printed on matte photo paper, please be aware of this. It is still a beautiful historic and artistic image and looks like a watercolor.
Our prices are less than you would pay retail at a gallery and production costs are lower than most folks so we want to offer affordable quality art for people who might not otherwise be able to afford it. We can also print to larger sizes, please inquire.

It is also very grainy as it was shot on Velvia transparency film from an original very old B&W photo, copied, hand printed on black and white photo paper, and then was hand colored, and printed with archival inks.
**When it is attached to the single mat 8x10" backing board you will be able to see the backing board color around the borders of the print. It makes the print look like there is a margin around the photo which you can see here. An 11x14 inch frame (or larger) with a custom cut mat from a frame shop or art store is the suggested way to display this photo.
Prints are permanently mounted to the acid free backing board using an archival photo adhesive and cannot be easily removed from the backing board without damaging the photo. If you want to use a larger frame and can't figure out how to do it with the photo mounted on the backing board, contact us and we can explain how it can be done. This is recommended for best visual and artistic impact in displaying this photo, although many people are happy using a standard 8x10 inch frame and displaying the image as is.
