Description
This was dug just west of the Shenadoah River near Port Republic, Virginia. Very close to the battlefield, a Parrot shell artillery fragment was recovered close nearby. Possible wear by a Civil War soldier, but unlikely. Brass construction, this would have been worn and lost by a wealthy landowner or tradesman. Size indicated in images. Might be a shoe buckle. In excellent condition. Most of the iron belt hook is still there. I accept returns if the buyer is not completely satisfied. Check out the hundreds of other military, historical and vintage postcards in my EBay store. Thank you for looking.Virginia residents must add 5.3% state sales tax to the total, which includes shipping.
All civil war relics and Native American artifacts have all been recovered on private property with the land owners permission.
