INFO.THAT CAME WITH ITEM WHEN ADDED TO OUR MUSEUM: “
Outstanding ladle for making lead bullets. Revolutionary War for sure. Very heavy, sturdy, well made for military usage. This one was definitely made for the Army. Beautiful patina, untouched, great wear on handle and darkening patina going towards the bowl. Great hammer marks on the bowl. The ladle measures 11 1/8 inch long, and 4 3/8. I can not tell you how nice this item is. It will be the best in of class in your Rev War collection. I purchased Dr. Francis Lord's Rev War collection just prior to him passing. A most respected author, collector, and historian, he was a pioneer in Civil War and Rev War collecting.
I'm BACK! Took a break from selling my personal collection but I'm back listing great items. I am a collector of many things. Mostly Civil War, Rev War, Indian Artifacts, Red ware, really anything old and cool. I collect 18th century American furniture, primarily Southern too. Hard to list and ship furniture, so if you are interested in seeing some realty great, top quality early pieces, contact me.

the grand kids have told me that they have no interest in any of the collections in the family’s traveling museum-- MOCAPA. A bit disappointing to hear but well understood in the 21st century. Plus, for me, collecting lacks the attraction that it had in years past as well as the steward collectors. Thanks, joe
