Description
This is a beautiful quality giclee 8x10 inch photo printed with archival inks on Epson pro quality photo paper from an original hand colored black and white photo by longtime Hawaii professional photographer Bill Romerhaus with caption, history, and photography information on a label on the back. It is from an original black and white photo that was hand colored by Haleiwa artist Joy Dawn on Epson® semi-matte photo paper, cropped, and mounted on a single 8x10 inch backing board(**note: the backing board margins are part of the print as you can see here are part of the print not a mat cutout)
of the Waialua Community Center across the street from the Haleiwa post office. It was built in the ‘plantation style’ in early1920-30’s?
It is also a little grainy as it was shot on 35mm black and white film, please be aware of this,
and
it is still a beautiful artistic image, and looks more like a painting than photograph.
It is shrink wrapped to protect it from damage, is signed and dated in the lower corner and has photography and preservation tips included in the label on the back.
We're proud to mention that many of our photos were used as background artwork in the CBS television network series "Hawaii 5-0".
It would make a great gift for someone who likes this area or historic building images of Hawaii. They are popular reasonably priced decorations for restaurants, offices, homes, or stores where people can see them.
Our original photos are very popular and affordable to local people and tourists visiting Hawaii, as well as people who have never visited Hawaii. Prices are less than you would pay retail at a gallery or custom photo lab for a hand printed and mounted silver halide black and white print and production costs are lower than most folks so we want to offer affordable quality art for people who might not otherwise be able to afford it. We feel we are preserving and promoting the history and culture of Hawaii to Kama'aina, visitors, and other folks at a reasonable price to display or share with others.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE:
e-Bay's transfer process and the computer screen may make the photo look contrasty and slightly darker or lighter, depending on your monitor brightness and contrast settings. The color hues may look slightly different and may have a different tonal range and brightness than you may see on your individual computer screen.
It is also a little grainy as it was shot on film, but it is still a beautiful artistic image
. **When it is cropped and attached to the single mat 8x10" backing board you will be able to see the white line and backing board around the margins of the print. An 11x14 inch frame (or larger) with a custom cut mat from a frame shop or art store is the suggested way to display this photo.
Prints are permanently mounted to the acid free backing board using an archival photo adhesive and cannot be easily removed from the backing board without damaging the photo. If you want to use a larger frame and can't figure out how to do it with the photo mounted on the backing board, contact us and we can explain how it can be done. This is recommended for best visual and artistic impact in displaying this photo, although many people are happy using a standard 8x10 inch frame and displaying the image as is. We want to make sure you know exactly what you are buying so we hope our thorough description of these photos will answer all your questions before you purchase.
