  • Condition: This old bell is circa the turn of the 19th century and it is in good as found condition. It is very sturdy. The brass has tarnished with age, but the sound is clear and loud. It would look great all polished up, but I know that some folks like things in as found condition, so I do no polishing. The wooden handle is impressed with the number 10. The interior of the bell is marked with some letters and numbers that look like axx175 (see the close-up photo of the mark to draw your own conclusion). The clapper is made of cast iron. The bell measures approximately 8-7/8" high by 5-5/8" in diameter at the mouth. Weight before packing is 2 pounds, 3.9 ounces.
