    Description

    A beautiful collectible 4 stamp block set of U.S. postage stamps issued on February 28th, 1987 as part of the Great American Series of Stamps to honor and commemorate the pioneer educator, Mary Lyon, founder of Mt. Holyoke, the first college for women in 1837. The institution became a model for institutions of higher learning for women in the United States.
    These stamps have never been used and are as fresh as the day they were sold at the Post Office over 30 years ago! Suitable for framing, they would make a great gift to anyone interested in the teaching profession or women's history!
