This is the authentic military issued packaging for your Ithaca 1911A1 pistol as issued during ww2 and by the department of civilian marksmanship. All military specifications have been verified, including both outside and inside dimensions as well as the caliper of the pasteboard and paper covering. Your pistol will fit correctly in this box, snug form corner to corner which was critical for military packaging and is the first indicator of authenticity. Also of special importance in determining authenticity is the color of the kraft paper. It is very important to notice the unique construction of this box.
