This is a very nice quality giclee 8x10 inch print from an original hand colored black and white photo by longtime Hawaii professional photographer Bill Romerhaus with caption, history, and photography information on a label on the back from an original photo that was hand colored by the photographer.
It was
copied to a
35mm
Velvia transparency then printed on Epson premium photo paper with archival inks and
mounted on a single 8x10 inch backing board

includes margins and backing board as part of the print which you can see here and is not a mat
board

of the Panci Panci Store circa 1978, previously known as Lantaka Store.
It is an older building in Haleiwa built in the 'plantation style' and was a typical mom and pop store in this location for about 20-30 years, went thru several retail business changes in the past four decades, and presently is the site of Tropical Rush and the Rainbow Gift Shop.
It is initialed and dated on the front of the photo, and is shrink wrapped to protect it from damage and has preservation tips included in the label on the back

I
t is also very grainy as it was copied on Velvia transparency film from an original black and white print print that was shot with Tri-X black & white film and then hand colored. It is a nice artistic photo though and looks almost like it was painted with a brush or surrealistic, which is the effect we wanted. Please be aware of this.

This giclee print was printed from a scan of an original hand colored photo by professional surfing, stock photographer, and master black and white printer Bill Romerhaus, of North Shore Photography, who has been shooting surfing and scenics since 1967. This is print is cropped to fit and mounted using an archival adhesive on a single 8x10 mat backing board, with caption and photographer information on the back and is shrink wrapped to protect it from damage. It has preservation tips included in the label on the back.
His most recent work has appeared in the  CBS/Eye productions "Hawaii 50", Disney/Dreamworks productions "Fright Night", Sony Pictures "Soul Surfer", CBS/Paramount Network TV series "The Cleaner" on A&E Networks, Universal Pictures "Forgetting Sarah Marshall", and Warner Brothers  "The Big Bounce", filmed on the North Shore or on Oahu, providing vintage photos of nostalgia, and surfing for background artwork.  Bill has lived in Hawaii for over 50 years. In 1965 he shot his first surfing photo and was a contributing photographer to 'Surfer', and 'Surfing' magazines, and over 30 international surfing magazines and manufacturers, as a photojournalist for over 100 publications, advertising/stock photo agencies, and corporate clients worldwide.
In 1983, he started NORTH SHORE PHOTOGRAPHY, specializing in black & white darkroom services, after attaining the status as a master black & white printer and film processor for professional clients island wide. His photos have credited him with over 200 cover shots and full page advertisements.
His work has appeared in Popular Photography, Shutterbug, American Photographer, Shape, Men's Fitness, Surfing, Surfer, Honolulu, Aloha, Hawaii newspapers, Outdoor, Outside, Conde Nast Traveler, National Enquirer, CNN, Discovery & History Channels, & many others. Professional clients have included American Express, Vogue International, Analog Clothing, Hilton Hotels, Hawaiian Tropic, Hawaiian Airlines, etc.
He was also a contributing photographer for over 40 years to The North Shore News, in Haleiwa. Bill now specializes in printing historic and nostalgic images of Hawaii (NOSTALGIC PHOTOS HAWAII) from the thousands of photos he has produced and collected as a professional photographer in the past five decades living in Hawaii and selling his twice award winning photo history book "Haleiwa: A Pictorial History".
