    Description

    Offered in this 7-day auction is a c.1750-1770 Spun Brass Spoon.  Ornately decorated, this would have been a most prized possession by its owner, likely received as a wedding gift.  No damage and great detail throughout.  Similarly decorated spoons may be found in George C. Neumann's, "

    ", page 200-201. Wedding spoons of the period could be of horn, brass, wood, etc.
