    RARE EARLY 1900'S LADIES IVORY EMBROIDERED SILK AND BAMBOO PARASOL CHINOISERIE
    Extremely Rare Chinese Embroidered Silk Parasol with Bamboo Ribs on both sides of the silk, and a Wonderful Bamboo Root Handle Circa early 1900's. Perfect for your next Antique Dress Up Affair
    Condition still Useable, with care of course as it is an antique. There is some darkening of the silk along the bamboo ribs as shown, and two inside frets having a tip of end missing where string runs thru end of fret, but still opens and closes. (see photo with my finger at end of a fret.) All the ornate twine that ties all together is sturdy and not broken or unraveling. The silk is strong, just a bit age darkened in spots from the bamboo frets. The Parasol is fresh smelling, not musty, there is no dustiness or mustiness. The intricate way this was hand made is a work of art....You will have a hard time finding an embroidered silk parasol that is not rotted away completely. Finding an Embroidered one is even rarer.
    Vintage garments are Old so none will be perfect, most antique garments have had a long life and many owners so they may no longer be original, most dresses have been worn, altered or re-designed over the years.
    Measures 31 inches long and opens to a diameter of 27 inches across...
