RARE VINTAGE KID'S DISNEY-AMBLIN ROGER RABBIT PROMOTIONAL VINYL UMBRELLA 1987

Description

Offered for auction a "RARE VINTAGE KID'S DISNEY-AMBLIN "ROGER RABBIT" PROMOTIONAL ADVERTISING CLEAR VINYL COLORFUL UMBRELLA 1987".  This umbrella appears to be quite rare, as I could not find an identical match on eBay or Google.  The colorful graphics feature a happy, smiling "ROGER RABBIT" holding his trusted blue umbrella, as cheerful raindrops descend, released by the smiling white cloud that overshadows.  It is set in a background of interlocking green, blue, red and yellow rainbows and country hillside homes.  (My interpretation). LOL.  This 8-panel umbrella was designed by DISNEY-AMBLIN ENTERTAINMENT INC. in 1987.  It is in very good, vintage, pre-owned condition with minor rubs, very gently used, if at all and carefully stored.  The top and bottom springs work perfectly and hold firm.  There are a few tiny pin holes in one of the clouds, but no tears or damaged metal ribs.  The clear snap closing strap, yellow hand strap, plastic handle and top notch are in excellent condition.  Measurements: Length closed, notch to handle...27", Diameter open...28", Vinyl length...19 1/4", Handle length...5 3/4".  There are no missing components.  The shaft is slightly angled, possibly by design.  The printed mfg. information on the vinyl bottom reads: "ROGER RABBIT" / "1987 THE WALT DISNEY COMPANY AND AMBLIN ENTERTAINMENT INC" (photo 5).  The reattached paper tag reads: 100% VINYL, MADE IN TAIWAN (photo 7).  I am surprised that this delicate umbrella has survived in this condition for over 35 years.  This umbrella is clean, from a smoke-free home and ready to use or preserve and display.  There is no return or refund after receiving.
