    This is an original Revolutionary War period canteen, in as found condition in a barn in Massachusetts, featuring original iron bands, handle and original dark blue/black paint. Canteen is approximately 10.5 inches by 5.5 inches, in overall good condition, wear, some minor wood missing, else a scarce item.From my private collection of militaria , in my collection for over 35 years, time to downsize.
