    An original and historic printed and manuscript completed Revolutionary War era Connecticut Treasurer's warrant for the Sheriff of Hartford County, to collect taxes owed to the state by the Town of Colchester, collected by Elias Worthington Jr.... This impressive document is dated August 21, 1786, and signed by JOHN LAWRENCE [1719-1802], the State Treasurer from 1769-1789. The funds remaining to be paid date back to the war years, and may be paid in various ways from bills of the State or hard money....Sheriff Ezra William's signed deposition of service dated October 9, 1786 on reverse. Needs further research......
