A good excavated example of a 1 piece Revolutionary War United States 5th Regiment button, often called the Massachusetts Ordnance type. Received by the State of Massachusetts in May of 1778 on the Brig Nantes. Troiani# AMO5.e. Button shows great age and ground action but "5" can plainly be seen.
