Free Domestic Shipping.A super interesting August 1777 Augusta County, Virginia Trespass Arrest Warrant signed "Richard Madison, DC" as Deputy clerk under his father. The warrant is actually a pre-printed British arrest warrant that has been crossed out and had "The Commonwealth of Virginia" written in at top and the lines relating to "GEORGE the Third, by the Grace of God....." crossed out. At the bottom "our Reign" has been scratched out to have "the Commonwealth" after "Second." Super nice British watermark.
This is a WONDERFUL Virginia Revolutionary War Document. Minor separation at the bottom of some of the folds, where this was folded three times for service by the sherriff. On the reverse, the court case was written, "Hains v. Crestler" and the sheriff wrote "N Found" and signed his name "Ben Forsythe." Approximately 7" x 7".
