4. CLINICAL PARTICULARS
4.1. Target animal species
Pig, cattle (calves), chicken, turkey
4.2. Therapeutic indications for individual target species of animals
Chickens, turkeys:
- treatment of respiratory disorders (CRD) and infectious sinusitis caused by
Mycoplasma gallisepticum and M. synoviae susceptible to tylosin.
Pigs:
- treatment of swine dysentery caused by Brachyspira hyodysenteriae,
- treatment of enzootic pneumonia caused by Pasteurella multocida and Mycoplasma
hyopneumoniae,
- treatment and metaphylaxis of proliferative enteritis (adenomatosis) caused by Lawsonia
intracellularis.
Cattle (calves):
- treatment of pneumonia caused by Mycoplasma spp. and Pasteurella multocida susceptible to
tylosin.
The presence of the disease in the herd should be confirmed before metaphylactic use.
4.3 Contraindications
Do not use in horses due to the possible occurrence of cecum inflammation.

Special precautions for use in animals
The medicinal product should be thoroughly dissolved in water before administration to the animals.
The product should be used based on susceptibility testing as well as local rules

4.9 Amounts to be administered and administration route

Before administration to animals, the product should be dissolved in drinking water. Serve 80-100 mg
tylosin / kg b.w./day, which corresponds to 8.8-11.0 g product / 100 kg b.w. (0.5-1.0 g product / liter of water).
Use for 1-3 days in broilers, 2-3 days in laying hens and hens reared for laying, and 2-3 days in

Pigs
Treatment of dysentery and enzootic pneumonia:
Tylofort should be dissolved in the drinking water to provide 25 mg tylosin / kg

Tylofort should be dissolved in the drinking water to provide 5-10 mg tylosin / kg body weight.
