Estate sale find. Monogrammed handle appears to be gold plated, but this is untested.
There is a hallmark I've been unable to identify, as well as the words "PAT. APL'D. FOR"
These are atop the handle's metal sleeve.. see large pictures below.
The fabric looks to be a dense cotton that once might have been waxed.
The material is damaged and has partially come off the frame.
There is damage to one face of the intrically carved mother of pearl panels.
However, the mechanism works smoothly...
Note a bit of rust at the top inside.
Note also how wound wire was emlpoyed in the frame... dates the umbrella to the Victorian era.

Umbrella weighs 1 lb. 8 oz. ....Packed item will weigh significantly more.
