Vintage Marshall Field Co. Chicago Field's foldaway Umbrella box instruction

guess my mother in law bought this in the 40's, but I am not quite sure. The box does not say but the sturdy construction of the umbrella gives me the idea that this piece was made in the USA.
Comes in the original box with instruction.Was a bit tricky to open after all the years it was sitting
in the attic .
A piece for an umbrella museum, for making an authentic film, for having a matching accessory
for vintage clothes.
