    Description

    This super colorful and rare
    1964-B Disneyland Souvenir Map
    represents a
    second edition
of the year 1964, and the last
    map
    drawn by
    Disney Legend Sam McKim
    .
    This is the authentic original,
not a reproduction, and measures the full 30" by 45" with amazing impact, making any wall spectacular (as it has mine!) Sam's maps are quintessential and his use of color here is legendary, and sure to rekindle memories as they dominated the walls of so many of our bedrooms as kids.
Featuring the original 1955 Tomorrowland at it's peak with the legendary "Flying Saucers", this B series revision shows
    "Mr. Lincoln" making its debut
    ,
    United Airlines
sponsors the Tiki Room, and the Plaza Pavilion (see blank area) is
    no longer sponsored by Swift.
If you are shopping price, this is the difference as a collectible.
    This map truly shows a
Disneyland in transition at the end of it's first decade
, even down to "Edison Square", "Pirates", "Haunted House" and "Liberty Street" being proposed.  There is some tearing in the fold points which goes away if you have the map linen mounted. Condition as shown and priced accordingly, looks great for it's age. Another one sold by Van Eaton Galleries  in similar condition last weekend for
    5
    .
A rare historic piece that's a must in any Disneyland collection
