Vintage Shawnee Pottery - Miniature Animal Series - Squirrel - 1930's-40's.
This is one of the 7 little animals in the original Shawnee miniature animal collection.  This little animal series has become one of the most collectible of all Shawnee miniatures.  They all have the glossy Ivory finish with details that are cold painted on them.  This sweet little squirrel has blue eyes and pink ears.  The painted details are in tact, there are no chips or cracks, and no crazing.  She stands almost 3" tall.  There is a small dark spot on the tail under the glaze - not uncommon in this type of pottery.   These little miniatures were not marked.
