to do this conversion. The results are very nice. A cool upgrade to separate your bike from the pack.
The only other parts needed to do this conversion are clear turn signal lenses. They are available here on eBay. We do not carry them and we do not provide them in this package. You may need a few more basic parts like extra wire, connectors, screws etc.
This video was also sent to us by another UK customer. This is a very popular upgrade in the UK because all of the parts are 100% street legal and they have strict laws regarding vehicle lighting.
Here are the 7443 switchback LEDs. There are 78 LED chips. 39 LED units all together but each LED unit has 2 chips, 1 white 1 yellow.
These will light up white when the paring lights or headlights are turned on. When the turn signal is applied, the white shuts all the way off and will not light back up until the turn signal is turned off. When the turn signal is on they will flash yellow only.  When the headlights and parking lights are turned off,
only
the yellow turn signal LEDs will flash.
The white color of the parking light is approx 6000K.
The turn signal color is approx 3000K yellow/amber.
This package also comes with a pair of 7443 bulb sockets. They will fit the stock turn signal hole on the ST1300. The stock sockets are for single filament 7440 bulbs. In order to power the white side of the LEDs, you will need to cut off your old 7440 sockets and install these 7443 sockets. The new sockets have 3 wires as opposed to 2 wires on the original 7440 sockets. The extra wire needs to be connected to the positive wire of the parking light bulb located in the headlight assembly. The other 2 wires need to be connected back to the original turn signal wires. We do not know the wire color codes of the stock wiring. You will need to use a test light to detirmine which wire is ground and positive.
2 load resistors are included in this package. The load resistors prevent the turn signals form hyper flashing. They also prevent malfunctions within the LEDs. It is mandatory that you instal the resistors before you install the LEDs or you may damage the LED's delay circuit. The resistors get very hot and need to be mounted to a metal surface only. Do not touch them after the turn signal has been running longer than a minute. You will need to find a suitable mounting place and run extra wire to the turn signal wires. The resistors have 2 wires. One wire gets connected to the positive turn signal wire and the other resistor wire gets connected the the turn signal ground wire. A simple wiring diagram is included. They also come with quick connectors as shown.
